Bob has developed and implemented numerous "above-the-fold" integrated federal and state public and private-sector advocacy plans focused on grassroots development, education and activation; social media; and traditional lobbying strategies.

Bob has managed offices and budgets for highly successful Washington, DC and Austin, Texas state and federal advocacy divisions. He has mentored some of the best policy, communications, Political Action Committee, and lobbying leaders in the US.
ABOUT BOB
Bob incorporated his solo consultancy in 2019. Representative Sabre Advocacy clients have included the American Physical Therapy Association, its Private Practice Section, as well as the Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapists. He was awarded the 2020/2021 Board Service Award for his work during the pandemic. From 2016-2018, Bob served as the Director of Government Relations for the American Academy of Family Physicians. Bob directed all legislative and regulatory advocacy for the AAFP, including oversight of the Academy's Center for State Policy and FamMedPAC. Bob was also elected to represent AAFP as the first Co-Chair of the Partnership for Medicaid, a nonpartisan, nationwide coalition of 23 organizations representing doctors, health care providers, safety net health plans, counties, and labor. Bob spearheaded the access to care portfolio at the American Academy of Pediatrics from 2006-2016, leading efforts to improve insurance coverage for children, with 8 million children gaining coverage and the rate of child uninsurance in the US dropping from close to 13% in 2006 to 4.8% the year of his departure. Prior to his tenure at AAP, he served as Director of Government Relations for the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship, Counsel to US Senator Mark Dayton, Attorney Advisor to the US Securities and Exchange Commission and Chief Clerk to the Texas House of Representatives Insurance Committee. He holds a Masters in Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs, a Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law and a BA from Haverford College.
